Welcome to website of Professor Bader Faiyaz Zuberi. The site aims to provide with some basic information regarding common GI procedures & disorders in the field of Gastroenterology/Hepatology.
Prof. Bader Faiyaz Zuberi is working as Professor of Medicine at Dow Medical College, Dow University of Health Sciences Karachi and Consultant Physician and Gastroenterologist at Medical Unit-II, Civil Hospital Karachi. He is an expert at doing the endoscopic procedures like Upper and Lower GI Endoscopy, ERCP, Sclerotherapy, PEG, Oesophageal dilatation & Stent Placement, Band ligation of Oesophageal Varices and Hemorrhoids.
He is also Director of 'Clinical Trial Unit' of Dow University of Health Sciences.
He places "Gastric Balloon" in stomach to induce weight loss for obese people. This procedure could lead upto 25 kg weight loss in 6 months. The baloon is taken out after deflation after 6-11 months of placement.
He also does Capsule Endoscopy.
He has thrice received "Young Investigators Award" on his research papers abd have more than 60 publications in local and international journals to his credit.
Prof. Zuberi has received special training in Gastroenterology from USA, Singapore & HongKong and has attended many therapeutic endoscopic workshops in various countries. He has also conducted many workshops on endoscopic procedurs and also on medical writing and statistical analysis. He had held office of General Secretary of Pakistan Society of Gastroenterology and GI Endoscopy for the years 2007-08.
He has also written a book titled "SPSS For Doctors" with practicle exercises to understand statistical methods that are applied in medical research.
